Originally from Austin, Texas, Todd Wilson started practicing yoga in 1994 while living in Colorado. Yoga has provided a soothing calming balance to his life of skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, and traveling. Todd’s first teachers were his friends and BKS Iyengar’s book “Light on Yoga.” Feeling the mental and physical effects, increasing both his health and his clarity, he started building a strong personal practice and taking regular classes after moving back to Austin in 1998. He moved to Portland in 2003 to be closer to the mountains and the ocean in a city with a strong sense of community. In 2006 he traveled to Kerala, India and took the Sivananda International Teacher Training Course, making lifelong friends from around the world in the process. It was proof that world peace exists and is as real as all the conflict in the world. Consistently teaching since March of 2006, he took the Yoga Union Level II & III Teacher Training in 2011 taught by Annie Adamson, Natalie Gildersleeve, and Todd Vogt. He has studied with Sianna Sherman, Hagar Harpak, Noah Maze, Julie Lawrence, Sarahjoy Marsh and many others. First and foremost, he continues to be a student of yoga and of life.
