My personal experience with yoga began as a simple quest for creating physical flexibility and strength as a cross training exercise for running. While my physical body began to stretch, I found yoga began to stretch my mind and heart in an even deeper way. As a Naturopathic physician, I find that the philosophy and principles of Yoga completely support my beliefs of creating health and vitality from a deeper place. In 2009, I was blessed to complete the 200 hour teacher training through Yoga Union, and began share my own personal love of yoga through teaching. I love to blend the philosophy of yoga with the principles of Naturopathic medicine to help my students create a sense of balance between body, mind and spirit. I believe by cultivating a sense of self awareness, connection and gratitude on your mat, you can integrate these principles into your everyday life. Through the practice of living life from this heart centered space, your physical, mental and emotional health flourishes.
