Healing Together: A Holistic Support Group for Trauma

If your trauma or grief is new, we encourage you to also reach out to a licensed professional to see one-on-one as well. **By signing up for this group, you are committing to the entire series. In order to create safe space for us to be truly supportive to one another, drop-ins will not be allowed.
Trauma reaches deep and wide. It can effect us in childhood experiences, family dynamics, abusive relationships, community and interpersonal violence, serious accidents, the death of a loved one, and many other ways. Research shows that trauma can wreak havoc on all of our systems, including our mental and physical health, as well as our relationships. In order to achieve optimal wellness, it is imperative to heal ourselves holistically. The Healing Together group will meet each week to be in supportive community, provide space to process stories, learn about the Mind-Body connection and the psycho-physical effects of trauma, and to discover how trauma can effect our relationships. We’ll also engage in holistic self-care activities together including: mindfulness, breathwork, body movement and yoga, self-massage, holistic nutrition, and writing for healing. Space is limited, so register early to hold your spot. Registration includes brief phone session with Valenka to ensure group is a good fit.
