Kate likes to create an uplifting space for you to explore your relationship to the shapes that yoga offers with heart focused intention. She teaches dynamic, flowing sequences that bring attention to the breath and connect us to our innate fluidity. There’s always encouragement to be playful and not take yourself too seriously so we can learn to soften in our practice with ease and amazement rather than judgments and frustrations. Kate has completed teacher trainings and advanced her studies with Dharma Mittra, Jasmine Tarkeshi, Dana Flynn, and Annie Carpenter, and holds her 500 hour level training with Dharma Mittra. She was also a meditation student of Sharon Salzberg’s for nearly 10 years while residing in NYC and continues to follow her teachings since relocating to the west coast.
Kate is also an acupuncturist, practicing at Willow Tree Wellness. She regularly weaves teachings of wellness and the inner body connection into her classes. When not on her mat or teaching, you can find her reveling in the wonders of the PNW’s big nature with her adventure-hungry husband and spirited jack russell terrier, and sharing space with her ever inspiring community.
