Ingrid completed her 200 hour teacher training under Annie Adamson in 2015. She is also studying therapeutic applications of yoga with Annie and aiding her in teacher training programs at Yoga Union.
New to the practice when she first moved to Portland a few years ago, Ingrid quickly fell in love with yoga as both a field and mode of study. Since then, she has come to approach yoga as a means of integrating not only body and mind, but also various forms of attention, from the most cerebral to the most intuitive, sensory, and subtle. Above all, yoga has offered her a way of embodying thought and of skillfully minding the inexhaustible shades of embodiment itself. Students can expect classes that are centered on aligning biomechanics, breath, and brain, and that seek a balance of precision and play.
Outside the studio, Ingrid teaches literature and critical theory in the liberal arts program at Pacific Northwest College of Art and is an avowed cat, philosophy, and basketball nerd.
